ROBERTO MERCADINI - LA BELLEZZA DELLE PAROLE. DISCORSO SUL DIRE E SULL'INDICIBILE

Villa Torlonia Teatro kicks off the 2026/2027 theater season: it begins on Friday, October 23, with Roberto Mercadini and La bellezza delle parole.

From the explosion of languages at Babel to beauty that leaves one speechless. Paradoxes and wonders of language. Stories from around the world about the written and spoken word: the Hebrew Bible; the Popol Vuh, the sacred book of the Quiché Maya; Indian mythology. And the breathtaking and true story of Helen Keller, the blind and deaf girl who learned to read, write, and speak. She became a world-renowned orator (a friend of Charlie Chaplin and Mark Twain) and a highly influential and controversial activist—one whom many sought to silence.
