MARCIA DELLA PACE DEL RUBICONE
Description
The Rubicone Peace March is the 169th stage of the Giro d’Italia for Peace, organized by the Perugia Assisi Foundation.
THE SCHEDULE
The event begins at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, in Piazza Vesi in Gatteo, where the Uburezi Association will be distributing beverages. The march is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. The route, approximately six kilometers long, includes a first stop in Piazza Mazzini in San Mauro Pascoli at around 4:00 p.m. There, the Amici della Musica will welcome the marchers, while the “I sempra zovan” community center will provide refreshments for the participants. The arrival is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in Piazza Borghesi in Savignano sul Rubicone. On the stage set up for the occasion, there will be greetings from the mayors of the three municipalities and several testimonials, interspersed with a performance by the Davvero Choir.
INFO AND LOGISTICS
To allow participants to return to their cars left in Gatteo, a free shuttle service will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The shuttles will depart from Piazza Faberi in Savignano, adjacent to the march’s finish line, and will arrive at the parking lot near Gatteo’s town hall on Via Giovanni XXIII. It will be possible to join the walk even for just part of the route and meet up along the way. There will be no shuttle service along the intermediate sections.
An ambulance service provided by the Croce Verde di Cesena will be on hand along the entire route of the walk. Participation is open to all and free of charge.
The walk will take place even in case of inclement weather, unless otherwise specified by the Civil Protection Agency. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
