From San Mauro Mare ... a journey through the places associated with Pascoli: a guided tour combining poetry and landscape, discovering the places that inspired the work and life of Giovanni Pascoli.
Morning programme:
9.00 am - DEPARTURE FROM THE SAN MAURO MARE TOURIST OFFICE
9.15 am - arrival at VILLA TORLONIA - PASCOLI POETRY PARK and VISIT TO THE PASCOLI MULTIMEDIA MUSEUM
Located in the centre of what were once the rural estates of the Torlonia family, once administered by the poet's father, Ruggero Pascoli, Villa Torlonia is a place of poetry. It was here that Ruggero's faithful horse brought him back after he was shot and killed on his way back from Cesena on 10 August 1867. In the villa's evocative spaces, culture, innovation and technology come together to enhance Pascoli's poetry with an immersive and sensory experience. On the ground floor of the villa, a number of interactive rooms allow visitors to retrace the indissoluble link between the poet and Romagna.
