APERITIF WITH BORDON!
An appointment not to be missed for those who love football, true stories and moments to be lived together: on Tuesday 15 July, from 5 to 6 p.m., we are waiting for you at Bagno Berto in San Mauro Mare for a very special meeting with Ivano Bordon, one of the most iconic goalkeepers of Italian football.
World Champion in 1982 with the Italian national team, Bordon has defended the posts of legendary clubs such as Inter and Sampdoria and of our national team, becoming a symbol of elegance and professionalism between the posts. With over 300 Serie A appearances, numerous trophies to his credit and a long career also as a goalkeeper coach, Bordon is considered one of the most loved and respected number ones in Italian football. After retiring, he continued his career becoming one of the most respected goalkeeper trainers: among many others, he also coached Gianluigi Buffon during his years at Juventus.
In his extraordinary career, Bordon put together a truly unique “triplete”:
World Military Champion in 1973
World Champion with the Italian national team in 1982
World Champion in 2006 as goalkeeper coach for Marcello Lippi's national team
In San Mauro Mare - a locality he has frequented with affection since 1983 - Bordon will present his book ‘IN PRESA ALTA - Le parate di una vita di un portiere gentiluomo d'altri tempi’, a sincere journey through his life and career. The meeting will be the perfect opportunity to chat, get a copy of the book signed, take a photo and share a unique moment by the sea.
Accompanying the event will be a special aperitif offered by Bagno Berto and Bar Sole, where all participants will receive a free Amaresanmauro branded bag, perfect to carry with them throughout the summer.
To make this occasion even more unique, a representative of our country's team, Sammaurese Calcio, will also be present, and our Mayor Moris Guidi will take the floor.
