Discover a peaceful corner of Italy, now just a click away

The Municipality of San Mauro Pascoli is delighted to announce the launch of the new official tourism websites for San Mauro Mare and San Mauro Pascoli, online from Tuesday 3rd March.

Coordinated by the local Tourist Information Office (IAT), the project has been developed to offer visitors a clear, inspiring and easy-to-navigate gateway to the area — whether planning a holiday, looking for practical information, or seeking ideas for their stay.

San Mauro Pascoli is a small and welcoming town in the heart of Romagna, known as the birthplace of the poet Giovanni Pascoli and internationally recognised for its long-standing shoemaking tradition. Today it offers visitors a peaceful and authentic Italian atmosphere, just a short distance from the Adriatic coast.

San Mauro Mare, its seaside district, is especially known for its relaxed pace, safe environment and warm hospitality — making it an incredibly family-friendly destination. With its sandy beaches, pedestrian areas, green parks and summer events designed for all ages, it is a place where children can play freely and parents can truly unwind.

Easily reachable from nearby airports such as Bologna, Rimini and Forlì, and well connected by road and rail, the area is an ideal base for those seeking a relaxed seaside break combined with cultural discovery and countryside excursions.

The new websites bring together everything that makes this destination unique: the beaches of San Mauro Mare, the rolling hills of the Romagna hinterland, scenic cycling routes between sea and countryside, local festivals, traditional cuisine and cultural itineraries inspired by Pascoli’s life and poetry.

More than simply informative pages, the portals are designed to accompany visitors before, during and after their stay — offering practical guidance, curated experiences and inspiration for discovering the authentic rhythm of life in Romagna.

With this new digital presence, San Mauro Mare and San Mauro Pascoli present themselves to national and international travellers with a clear, welcoming and recognisable identity — one that reflects the character, heritage and quiet charm of this corner of Italy.
